L1 Head-on
One vehicle is directly in the path of another vehicle.

L2 Reverse-on
One vehicle reverses into the path of another vehicle.

L3 Backup
Two vehicles reversing into each other's paths.

L4 Dovetailing
One vehicle driving into the rear of another vehicle.

L5 Passing Head-on
Two vehicles passing each other (minimum clearance too close)

L6 Passing Reverse-on
Two vehicles passing each other with the Local Object (LO) reversing (minimum clearance too close)

L7 Overtaking
One vehicle overtaking another vehicle

L8 Blind Approach
One vehicle approaching another vehicle without any forward visibility.

T1 Merge
Two vehicles merging into a single lane on a roadway.

T3 Junction
Two vehicles approaching a tee intersection.

T2 Crossover
Two vehicles approaching an cross-over.

T4 Intersection
Two vehicles approaching a four-way intersection.

C1 Curving Head-on
Two vehicles approaching each other on a curve (minimum clearance too close).

C2 Curving Dovetail
One vehicle approaching the rear of another vehicle travelling in the same direction on a curved roadway.

C3 Curving Reverse-on
Two vehicles reversing around a curve (e.g. manouvering at a dump)

V1 Void
Vehicle approaching a no-go area (e.g an edge, energised power-lines, limited clearance area)

V4 Loss of Control
Operator lost control of vehicle due to: overspeed, fatigue, poor conditions, component failure.

V6 Congested Area
Multiple interactors around machine in a congested area.

R1 Swing
Remote object impacted by swinging machine

R2 Drop
Remote object impacted by machine lowering suspended load (excludes crane rigging)

O1 Obstacle
Interaction with physical infrastructure or obstacles.

P1 Person (direct)
Person directly in path of the machine

P2 Person (between)
Person trapped between moving machine and a remote object (e.g. another machine or fixed object / highwall)

P3 Person (indirect)
Person caught / trapped by material or object knocked by moving machine

P4 Access & Egress
Person caught while getting on or off the machine
