Service Areas

Having an effective strategy in place to reduce or eliminate the potential for hazardous interactions of mobile equipment can make a world of difference for a mining operation.

We specialise in risk evaluations for mobile equipment used in these operational areas:

  • Underground coal

  • Underground hard rock

  • Open pit / opencast

  • Mini-pits

  • Quarries

  • Concentrator areas

  • Plants

Vehicle Interaction is a situation where equipment, plant or personnel are intentionally or unintentionally in close proximity to each other, a void or obstacle, and where there is a potential for collision or interference resulting in either injury to personnel, or damage to equipment or plant.

An optimal set of Controls is the most effective way to reduce risk exposure from vehicle interaction.

An effective Collision Management System incorporates robust methods of monitoring and verification to check that the controls in place are working as intended at each Control Level 1-9 to prevent an unwanted event. Everybody wants to go home safe.
